Commissioned for TomboyX these illustrations were used on a giveaway for the TomboyX tent during Pride week in Seattle. Alongside the illustrations I was asked to write up a short artist statement for each image. They were as following:
Lichen Sticker:
"Lichen are queer creatures. They are multispecies, symbiotic life forms that reflect the queer lens, a view that invites fluidity and co-mingling that dismantles rigid binaries."
Visibility Sticker:
"Sapphos’ violets, Oscar Wilde’s green carnation, the reclamation of the pink triangle, and lavender to rainbows. From symbols to parades, Pride is expanding, inclusive, and visible."
